Volunteer Opportunities
We have volunteer opportunities in our various events and projects. Sometimes these opportunities are of general need (e.g. setting up events, and working in the library), and sometimes they need more professional experience. If you have time and interest to help us we would very much like to hear from you! We have the Oregon Autism Center in our future and we could really use your help! This includes architects, contractors, and grant writers, among others!
Please help us by volunteering at ARRO in one or more of the projects or with administration! If you have an interest in creating a new project, please let us know. Right now we are looking for ACAP Summer Program staff, and volunteers in the ARRO Library!
ARROAutism needs your help with events too!
We are planning our fundraising events and need volunteers to help us. If you are over 18 and would like to volunteer, contact Kathy via phone; 503-351-9255, text, or email, Kathy@arroautism.org. If you are under 18, please contact us so we can see what is possible. If you know someone with Autism, of any kind, please volunteer.
An Evening for Autism on May 17th, helps raise funding for the projects we do like the Family Holiday Assistance Project and other projects. We have various activities that require help in supervising activities, setup, and teardown. There is a casino, raffle, auction, and this year we want to do a domino fall! There are great food items provided for attendees and volunteers, and it does not include rubber chickens! There are many ways you can help! Please send us an email, text, or phone call so we can sign you up to volunteer! Volunteer groups welcome!
Rock for Autism is a music event in October that we do in Vancouver, WA at Billy Blues Bar and Grill featuring local tribute bands, and focusses on providing funding for the Family Holiday Assistance Project. We were able to raise over $75,000 in 2024 which provided 781 local families with Autism $100 each to help with holiday meals and winter clothing. We need volunteers to help with ticket sales in the raffle and to provide other support.
Sean's Run for ARROAutism, is a 5K Walk and Run, and 10K Run, location to be determined, projected to be a late summer/early fall event that has been postponed since the covid epidemic. We intend to begin again to raise funding for ARROAutism! If you are a Walker or Runner we would love to have your assistance in course safety, starting/finish line activities such as registration and info table. Sean will be participating too! Sean would love to see you all volunteer! Volunteer groups welcome!
