ARRO News & Events

The Autism Research & Resources of Oregon (ARROAutism) is a not-for-profit organization located in Oregon. We assist with Autism research projects in Oregon, develop resources to meet unmet needs for families and individuals with Autism in Oregon, and assist families and individuals with Autism to locate already existing resources that meet their needs.

Fundraisers

• Sean's Run for ARROAutism is a 5K Walk and Run and a 10K Run. The event will be held in the early fall, with exact dates to come soon. We will have a new venue in 2025.
• Rock for Autism is an event with live music performances and a huge raffle in Hazel Dell in North Vancouver, Washington in October at Billy Blues Bar and Grill. This year's Rock for Autism event will be held on October 25, 2025. (https://www.facebook.com/events/605675027694090/)
  From 2024: Thank You from ARRO to Billy Blues Bar and Grill, Bill and Kodi, Billy Blues Employees, and Billy Blues Patrons, Rock for Autism Performers and Sponsors, Family Holiday Support Project Donors! You helped 781 families in the following 13 counties in NW Oregon and SW Washington: Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, Hood River, Sherman, Wasco, Clatsop, Columbia, Clark, Cowlitz, Klickitat, Skamania, and Wahkiakum.
  
• An Evening for Autism is a Casino Night, Auction, and Raffle event held in May. We have had important guests from Star Wars! This year's event was held on Saturday, May 17th, from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Click here for info on the 2025 event.

Support Groups

• Medical Information Support has been closed since the Covid emergency was declared. We will restart it this year. It will meet at the ACAP Center at 1900 Milport Road in Milwaukie, Oregon. The restart date is not yet set.
• Special Diets Cooking will begin this year now that the Covid emergency has been ended. It will meet at the ACAP Center at 1900 Milport Road in Milwaukie, Oregon. The restart date is not yet set.

Trainings / Lectures

• Autism Medical Research Update: A six hour training on the medical aspects of Autism. It will be held at the ACAP Center at 1900 Milport Road in Milwaukie, Oregon. The date is not yet determined.
